Ensuring development and delivery of high quality, evidence-based, innovative programs for children that contribute to Save the Children's global Breakthroughs: Learn, Survive, Be Protected. Ensures a robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) system is in place. Also, ensure the country office engages in the collection and use of evidence and share across the global organization, and reliable data use for decision-making and program design. Ensuring capacity building, mentoring and coaching of technical specialists in order to support program quality in line with global standards and key performance indicators. Responsible for driving cross-functional engagement in the delivery of Country Strategy Plans (CSPs), developing annual plans and reporting on results. Provide overall leadership for business development and fund raising including proposal designs.

Achievements:

  • Initiated, led and coordinated the development including reviewed of the Country Strategic Plan of 2022-2024 and ensured alignment with the SCI global strategy and national development priorities
  • Successfully led design of 4 project proposals (Education, Health, Livelihood & Conservations, Protection and won two
  • Improved country office donor funding streams from $6 million to $12 million
  • Developed and delivered a donor fund raising strategy for the country office
  • Successfully worked with Country Office SMT and Region Office and maintained strong and efficient donor relationships
  • Successfully led and developed all country office annual and quarterly reports and submit to the regional office or centre
  • Maintained country office green KPIs for all regional reports on PDQ

CARE International

Gender and Advocacy Coordinator

June 2019 - April 2022

Ensure mainstreaming and strengthening of CARE gender framework into project proposals, planning and implementation. Ensure CARE country office gender assessment is complete and develop action plan for gender equality mainstreaming into project activities implementation and support CARE implementing partners to develop annual program plans that promote gender empowerment. Also, ensure gender accountability that meet CARE overall gender framework. Work with the MEAL team to develop gender sensitive result framework and IPPT and draw gender lessons and learning to measure impacts and lead program team to plan and implement advocacy activities aiming to bring positive changes in the lives of CARE target beneficiaries.

Achievements:

  • Successfully led and provided technical reviews of all MEAL frameworks and IPPTs and ensured all met gender and protection sensitive standards
  • Successfully led and conducted 6 Gender Equality Marker Analysis on proposals and projects implemented
  • Successfully led and integrated women voices and gender equality into the Country Program Strategic Plan in 2020
  • Led and completed Eight (8) trainings on gender equality mainstreaming into project planning and implementation for 5 CARE Sub-grantee in the Norther regions
  • Successfully led technical reviews and evaluation of all technical proposals on consultancy for baseline and end-line related to gender and protection projects

Senior Programme Officer

Lead project development and provide oversight coordination for all programmes and support programmes implementation. Ensure project team promote communication and coordination with all partners and donors and support senior management and UK headquarters in the development of proposals and donor report writing including working closely with the finance team in preparing, monitoring and implementing project budget. Lead AWC departments with inputs and preparation of UK annual report and project documentation.

Achievements:

  • Successfully led designed, management and implementation of 3 projects benefitted 1000 fistula women and 300 first-time teenage mothers
  • Successfully facilitated 100 first-time teenage mother’s reintegration into formal schooling
