Research Assistant Engineer
May 2024 - July 2024
I textured stainless steel to mimic the Namib Desert beetle morphology for improving fog harvesting property in stainless steel mesh. Using microscopes and an interferometer, I analyzed the resulting patterns. These surfaces were then incorporated into a condensation device to study fog collection. This internship provided me with a deep understanding of the physics of wettability, condensation, and optics.
