I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in Biology at Shanghaitech University, on track to obtain my Master’s degree in Biology by 2025. I am keenly interested in pursuing a PhD program to further explore the field of neuroscience. Throughout my academic journey, I have acquired extensive hands-on experience in neuroscience experiments involving animal models, including techniques such as virus injection, behavioral measurement, and data analysis. Additionally, I am proficient in conducting human studies, including cognitive assessments and MRI scanning, as detailed in my Research Experience.
My passion for uncovering the mysteries of brain functions drives my dedication to neural research, with the goal of contributing to advancements that benefit humanity.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I engage in various hobbies that provide physical and mental relaxation. I have been practicing traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy since kindergarten and enjoy creating digital art and animations using a computer or iPad. My artistic skills enable me to enhance and illustrate scientific articles effectively.
Sports also play a significant role in my life. As a member of the school basketball team and rowing club, I have honed my physical fitness and teamwork skills, achieving gold medals and first prizes in numerous regional competitions. For those interested, I have included pictures of my medals and samples of my artwork in the supplement.
