The decorations on the crown are mainly in the form of dragons and phoenixes. The dragon is created using a technique of welding gold threads, presenting a hollowed-out appearance and a strong three-dimensional effect. The phoenix is adorned with emerald bird feathers, which maintain their vibrant colours for a long time. The pearls and gemstones on the crown are of varying sizes and weights. The most adorned crown contains 128 gemstones, while the least has 95. The pearls range from a maximum of 5,449 to a minimum of 3,426, with the heaviest weighing 2,905 grams and the lightest 2,165 grams. The crown is also embellished with designs of dragons, phoenixes, jewellery flowers, emerald clouds, emerald leaves, and hairpins. These components are all individually crafted and then inserted into tubes on the crown, forming a complete phoenix crown.

This phoenix crown is created by folding individual metal pieces and stringing pearls together. Not a single drop of glue is used throughout the process. Initially, each small metal piece is fixed onto five different metal plates. I first cut the required small metal pieces from the plates using small pliers, then, following the steps, insert the raised portions into corresponding slots and secure the protruding parts into place within the slots using tweezers, similar to tightening screws.
