Objectives

To secure a challenging position as a Senior Open Pit Surveyor, utilizing my 17 years of experience and master knowledge of land surveying techniques, methods, rules, and regulations. I aim to contribute my proficiency in GIS software and knowledge of surveying instruments, as well as my expertise in GPS, and survey equipment skills, to effectively support mining operations and ensure accurate data collection for open pit surveys. Additionally, I seek to further develop my skills and contribute to the growth and success of the organization I work for.

Open Pit Senior Mine Surveyor

  • Act as open pit chief surveyor during Chief Surveyor on break.
  • Encourage and maintain safe work practices for all subordinates.
  • Coordinates all open pit survey services in a safe working environment, and provides all survey information requirements for efficient and sustainable open pit material movement, responsible for generating EOM survey reports, providing training for mine surveyors and providing survey for projects as required.
  • To manage the data and calculations enabling the timely accurate and monitoring, tracking and reporting of all areas mined (ore stockpile volumes, mined volumes, etc.).
  • Responsible for organizing and conducting all survey work at the mine site.
  • Develop skills in GPS and surface surveying.
  • Encourage and promote safety to in-pit personnel, Compliance against agreed LTI and SIFR targets, Provision of appropriate JSA, SOP and site Standards where appropriate.
  • Monthly Volumes for all Mining associated works, provide reports which collates the monthly mined volumes including stockpiles, waste dumps and construction activities, etc, Data quality and validity, Reports provided on deadlines.
  • Prepare the Mine Survey budget and forecast to add it to the Mining report, this includes Capital, personnel and Operation cost requirements, Mine Survey section yearly budget and forecast with monthly breakdown on set deadline.
  • Review detailed Survey “pick-up” of pit design, stockpiles, waste Dumps and other “As constructed” mining activity.
  • Calculate and monitor anticipated grade and various efficiency factors and takes correction in case of any anomalies.
  • Conduct special survey project as and when required by management.
  • Keep all Mine Survey documentation and plans in a structured format and accessible for personnel within Mining and other Departments.

  • Reporting to the Senior and chief Surveyors.
  • Appling survey methods to ensure the quality of mining operations, in compliance with approved designs, monthly and annual production plans.
  • Ensure adequate survey control, support and timely set out of excavation control, pick up and measurement of the mine design and execution of programmed work.
  • Respond promptly to the day-to-day requirements of the open pit production schedule in safely delivering the services required.

    Training courses in IT and very good user of the Internet.

    Excellent user of MS office 2007, 2010 and 2013 package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and outlook).
