I was responsible for the design and implementation of an IoT system designed to monitor and analyse the presence of rainfall. The core objective of the project was to provide an accurate environmental monitoring solution through real-time data collection and image analysis. I chose highly sensitive humidity and temperature sensors and advanced image capture devices to ensure accurate detection and recording of rainfall, and I developed a data processing flow that utilises an embedded system to capture air quality parameters and environmental images in real time. I have also developed a data processing process that uses an embedded system to capture air quality parameters and environmental images in real time. The algorithms written in the system automatically analyse the captured data and images to identify the presence and intensity of rainfall. In the project, I applied C++ and Python languages for programming, and used Arduino and Raspberry Pi as development platforms. In addition, I used OpenCV for image processing.
