Drive-By Monitoring of Bridge

Queen's University of Belfast

Outlet:

Drive-by monitoring, an efficient Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) method, uses sensors on vehicles to assess bridges' health. This indirect approach is more efficient than traditional SHM, requiring less equipment.

Key steps:

Matlab was used to process and analyse the collected data, and a bridge model corresponding to real-world conditions was created using LUSAS. Data analysis was conducted within the software, with the results cross-referenced against the collected data to assess the feasibility of Drive-by Monitoring.
